What does Ryan Lyle's like to do in his spare time?

Traveling to new countries is my favorite activity to do in my spare time. I have been to nearly every country in Europe during my 7 years living and working in Ireland. I also recently backpacked through South America and visited Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru (the large picture above is Macchu Picchu between my boots). Africa, Australia, and Antarctica are the 3 last continents I have to visit. 

Traveling and experiencing different cultures has given me the ability to adapt and be flexible in stressful situations that inevitably occur. I have also had the opportunity to learn about many cultures and have since developed a more comprehensive view of the world. If possible I would love to have a job where I could travel and use the international experience I have gained as an asset.

Hiking has been a passion of mine throughout my life. I love the adventure of getting away from civilization and exploring what’s off the beaten path. I am a NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) alumni as I successfully completed a 30 day backpacking course in the Rocky Mountains. Since then I have taken many weekend and day hikes in the Appalachians. The most impressive hike I have been on lately was to the top of Macchu Picchu Mountain.
